Eating Big Boy Food

It's hard to believe that Max is already eating regular food! It feels like he was only eating bottles just yesterday! He really likes peas, cheese, yogurt puffs, and bananas. Such a big boy!!!!

Bumps & Bruises

Max got his first real bruise today :(. He was playing and reached for something that was a little too far away and lost his balance. He face planted right into the floor and whacked his head. If you look at the top left of his forehead you can see a small knot and purple bruise. I'm sure it's the first of many, but boy is it sad when it happens! He actually cried real tears, which doesn't happen often.

First Snow

It was fun experiencing snow with Max for the first time. At first he didn't know what to think and then when he saw the dogs running around in it he decided it was okay.
I'm adjusting to winter (if you call it that) in Houston. It's the 1st time it has every snowed two years in a row here. Last year when it snowed it was most my 4th graders first time to every see snow. This year huge flurries came down during school and my kiddos were in complete awe...so cute!

Finished Our 1st Chapter Book!

During the month of December Max and I read When Santa Fell to Earth by Cornelia Funke. I had a great time reading it to him and it was our 1st official chapter book we've read together.

Finally, I discovered a way to get to the Christmas tree!

Max is playing with his new toy from Nanny & Papa. Joseph & I know the songs by heart now and would love to teach them to you anytime you want to come over and with the farm :).

Christmas

This year Christmas didn't work out the way we planned, but I guess that is to be expected now that we have a baby. A few days before Christmas Max got RSV and we ended up taking him to the emergency room. The doctor told us not to travel to Burkburnett (7 hour drive) and to stay at home so he could rest. It was rough for a few days because we had to give him breathing treatments every 4 hours and he just wasn't himself. The good thing was Christmas came to us. All of our family spent time with us throughout the holidays and Max was able to enjoy his first Christmas at home.

Terrible at Blogging!

I've been a terrible blogger! It's very sad that I haven't posted a thing this the day I had Max and now he's 8 months old!! I promise that 2010 will be a year full of details and pictures of Max.
