In the Words of Max

It's so fun to spend time with Max and he's getting more entertaining by the day! Here are a few of the funny things he's been saying:
It's going to be a bid day!
When I go to his room when he wakes up from a nap he says well hi there mommy, I'm so glad you're here
Mommy, you are an awesome girl (melt my heart!)
Help, help I'm stuck and then he proceeds to say it in Spanish
This is belicious (delicious)
Well, my Mamaw would do it
He loves to shake hands and say nice to meet you

Trip to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas

One day we rented a boat and went out on the lake. I haven't been a lake in a long time and I was a little nervous to let me husband pull me on the tube! I decided I would go first and once I finally got Joseph to understand that no, I didn't want to go as fast as the boat would go, I was able to relax and have fun. One of the best days we were there!!

You better hold on tight Jonathan!

I'm not sure how he did it, but Joseph manage not to fall off during this turn!

Fairfield Bay was a quaint little town tucked away in the mountains. It clearly runs on tourism and it reminded me of a place like the one on Dirty Dancing. On Monday they had a meeting and they went over all the activities you could do throughout the week and what you could find in the surrounding towns. In the middle of the week we enjoyed a puppet show. Even Jonathan participated and sang the songs.

First Jarie and I rode this at Silver Dollar City with Max thinking he would love it and we wouldn't get that wet. Well, we got one of those things right, Max did love the ride! The next time he wanted to ride it we let the guys take him.

We went golfing on the first day we were there (I say we, but that really means Joseph & Jonathan). The course was beautiful and fun to watch the guys "golf".

Big Helper

Max loves to help his Dad and Pawpaw. He's always in the middle of the action saying "helper".

My friend Timber

One of the reasons Max loves going to see his Mamaw and Pawpaw is because he gets to visit his friend Timber, the squirrel. He talks about Timber all the time and tries to call him when he's at home in our backyard. He yells out his name and tries to click his tongue like Mamaw, so cute! Cindy (Mamaw) rescued this squirrel during Hurricane Ike and he now lives in her backyard. He comes by to gets some nuts and say hi, which Max thinks is the greatest thing in the world.

1st Haircut

This was Max before we got his haircut...it's amazing how adorable you think your own kid is and little did you know they REALLY needed a haircut :). I didn't realize he could be even more precious with big boy hair!

He's watching his favorite, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, while he's driving the fire truck. At one point he got really excited and was bouncing up and down....so his hair is a little uneven in the back because of all the excitement.

Done with his haircut and looking good!!

Ruidoso, NM

This was the beautiful house we stay at in Ruidoso, New Mexico with all of my family. We had such a great time catching up and laughing!
This was our view from the deck on our last night there.

Max loving on his Dad before the horse race started. He enjoyed watching the long races because the horses were farther away. He wasn't real crazy about having the horses zoom right past him and fling dirt his direction.

Jase, Max and Jonathan got in the bathtub because Gram wanted a picture of all her boys in it. It was a little hard to get a 3 year old and a 1 year old to stay still long enough to get a good picture.

Max loved exploring around the house where we were staying. He especially loved all the rocks and sticks ( in his words, rockies and stickies).

Max had fun hanging out with Jonathan at the horse races! I think Jonathan won the most money...we teach them young in my family :)

I LOVE summer!!

We are having so much fun outside this summer! Max would stay out there ALL day if we would let him. He cries when it's time to come in and the only way we can actually get him even a little bit interested in coming in the house is to tell him he's taking a bath. He goes from the cool water outside to the warm water inside. I think we have a little fish :)
